My name is Marilynne Smith. I'm a writer and an editor. Now that I'm retired, I'm writing a mystery starring Maxie and a memoir for our daughters. I'll put them both on Kindle when I finish.

I love people. Some times that keeps me from writing or painting.
I'm going to put one of my watercolors up on this site, just because I want you to see it. Painting birds is fun. I plan to put three birds in a frame - if I can find the time. I don't plan on being a great artist. I just want to enjoy being one.
I'm married and have three grown daughters. It's a wonderful thing to raise children and find out that you really like the adults they've become.
I worked as a technical writer/editor for 25 years. I held a jillion small jobs while the kids were growing up. I did that because I needed money, but I didn't want to be away from the kids for long. While they were little, I just kept taking any temporary job that interested me - or that was handy if I wanted a little extra cash. It was my way of having a little stash that I could spend any way I wanted to.
